This week’s must-know news

Gearing up for Australia Day

Sutherland Shire Council has several events planned for the long weekend, including outdoor cinemas, sunset cultural ceremonies, Cronulla concerts and fireworks. You can also cool down with a free swim on Australia Day at Caringbah, Engadine and Sutherland Leisure Centres.

For a full list of council events click here.

P.S. We’ll have a full breakdown of all Australia Day events in next week’s edition

Operation “Cool Your Jets”

NSW Maritime is out in full force this weekend, reminding jet ski riders to observe all boating and safety restrictions:

  • Lifejackets and PWC licenses

  • Riding a safe speed and distance

  • Observe the posted limits or restrictions

  • Avoid travelling directly in the wake of another craft

  • Keep a proper look out and look behind you before you turn

If you’re out on the weekend boating or jet ski riding, stay responsible. Stay safe.

Business Spotlight

Spotlighting local businesses we love

Noah’s Taren Point is back this week after the Christmas holidays.

We love this place because we love supporting local. The food is delicious and the coffee exceptional. That’s probably because the coffee is also locally roasted (bonus in our books!!).

Owing to their success, Noah’s has now expanded to a Kirrawee location. Noah’s On Oak is now open!!

Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely coffee, it’s a spot worth visiting!!
