Hi there, Shire Insiders!
We had an Ah. May. Zing dinner the other night at Cronulla RSL. They had (what sounded like) their first of upcoming wine and dinner nights. It was brought to us by Nashdale Lane winery in Orange (a beautiful place, I visited a couple years ago).
The food was delish, the wine was amazing, and the whole night was very enjoyable indeed. Four courses and 6 wines paired beautifully with some friends.
All right, what’s on this week?
In today’s edition:
🥐 Parc Pavilion opens
💁 National Volunteer Week
📆 17+ fun events happening this week
Let’s get to it.

National Volunteer Week
Did you know 14% of residents in the Shire volunteer their time and skills making the Shire one of Greater Sydney’s leading communities for volunteering?
Mayor Boyd says volunteers are at the heart of the Sutherland Shire, making a real difference every day—whether it’s caring for animals at Taren Point Animal Shelter, supporting local charities, helping out at Hazelhurst Arts Centre, or protecting the environment through Bushcare.
National Volunteer Week is a chance to say thank you to these generous individuals who help bring people together, support those in need, and make the community stronger and more inclusive.
Council posted a video on their Instagram showcasing many of these volunteers.
If you’re interested in volunteering with the council, you can view their opportunities here.
